Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data LOGIKDESK SOLUTIONS collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and the rights you have over it. Please read it before you submit a form or contact us.
1. Who we are
This website, logikdesk.com, is operated by LOGIKDESK SOLUTIONS (“Logikdesk”, “we”, “us”), GSTIN 06DEVPK3257K1ZV, of 703, 7F, Palm Court, Sec-16, MG Road, Gurgaon – 122007, Haryana, India. For the personal data described in this policy, we are the Data Fiduciary: we decide why and how that data is processed.
This policy covers personal data we process when you:
- visit this website;
- contact us by form, phone, WhatsApp or email, or book a site assessment; and
- buy or receive our services, including installation, support and AMC work.
It does not cover the CCTV systems we install for clients, or the footage those systems record. See section 4.
2. Applicable law
We process personal data in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, as and when their provisions come into force. Terms such as “personal data”, “Data Fiduciary” and “Data Principal” have the meaning given in those laws.
3. Personal data we collect
3.1 Data you give us
- Site assessment form: your name, company name, phone number, email address, facility type, area, whether you have existing cameras, whether you want a gap report, and any message you write.
- Support form: your name, phone number, email address, site address, AMC reference, and your description of the issue.
- Calls, WhatsApp and email: your name, number or email address, and what you tell us.
- If you become a client: billing name and address, GSTIN, site addresses, the names and contact details of your site contacts, and the records of our work for you, such as site surveys, drawings, quotations, orders, invoices, service reports and handover documents.
Please do not send us passwords, recorder or camera login details, government ID numbers, bank details or health information through our forms, WhatsApp or email. We do not need them to respond to an enquiry.
3.2 Data collected automatically
- How you first reached this site, for example a search engine, an ad, a campaign link or a referring website. This is held in your browser for the current session only, and is attached to a form if you submit one, so we know which channel produced the enquiry.
- Your cookie choice, stored in your browser so we don't ask again on every visit.
- Technical logs. Our hosting and content-delivery providers receive your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages requested, as a normal part of serving any website. These logs are used for delivery, security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics and advertising data, only if you choose “Accept”: pages viewed, time on page, clicks, scrolling and other interactions, device and browser details, approximate location derived from your IP address, and whether you arrived from, or acted on, one of our ads. See section 6.
4. CCTV footage and client systems
We design, install and maintain CCTV systems. We do not access, copy, download, store or keep footage recorded by the systems we install or service. Where a camera view has to be checked during installation, commissioning or maintenance, it is checked live on your premises to confirm the camera works and is aimed correctly. It is not recorded or taken away by us.
Login details for your recorder and cameras are handed over to you at the end of installation. You should change them after handover.
As the owner or operator of the CCTV system, you decide what is recorded, how long it is kept and who can see it. For that footage, you are the Data Fiduciary and are responsible for your own legal obligations, including notice to people who are recorded, retention, access control and responding to their requests.
5. Why we use your data, and on what basis
- To respond to your enquiry, arrange and carry out a site assessment, and send you a quotation. You give us this data for that purpose.
- To deliver the services you order, including installation, support, AMC visits and warranty handling, and to communicate with you about them.
- To meet legal obligations, including invoicing, GST and other tax and accounting records, and lawful requests from authorities.
- To measure and improve this website and our advertising, only with your consent through the cookie notice.
- To keep this website and our systems secure and prevent misuse.
- To establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell personal data. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone. We will not use your data for a purpose unrelated to the ones above without first telling you and, where the law requires, asking for your consent.
6. Cookies, analytics and advertising tools
On your first visit, a notice asks you to choose “Accept” or “Necessary only”. Analytics and advertising tools run only after you choose “Accept”.
- Necessary (always on): browser storage that records your cookie choice and the session's traffic source described in section 3.2. These stay in your browser and are not used to track you across other websites.
- Analytics (only with “Accept”): Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar. Clarity and Hotjar record how visitors move through pages, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can find problems with the site.
- Advertising (only with “Accept”): Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel. These tell us whether our Google, Facebook and Instagram ads led to a visit or an enquiry, and may be used to show our ads to people who have visited this site.
These tools are loaded through Google Tag Manager. Google, Meta, Microsoft and Hotjar process the data these tools collect under their own privacy policies.
To change your choice, clear this site's cookies and stored data in your browser settings. The notice will appear again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser at any time.
7. Who we share data with
We share personal data only as needed for the purposes in section 5, with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions: Zoho (customer relationship management, where our enquiry and client records are held), Cloudflare (website hosting), jsDelivr (delivers a script file this site uses, and so receives your IP address), Google (Tag Manager, Analytics and Ads), Meta (Meta Pixel, and WhatsApp for messages you send us), Microsoft or Hotjar (site analytics), and our email and telephone providers.
- Equipment manufacturers and distributors, where needed to register or process a warranty claim for equipment we supplied to you.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountants, auditors and lawyers, who are bound by confidentiality.
- Government, regulators, courts and law enforcement, where the law or a valid legal order requires it.
- A successor business, if our business is sold, transferred or reorganised, on terms that protect your data at least as well as this policy.
8. Processing outside India
Some of our service providers, including Google, Meta, Microsoft, Hotjar, Cloudflare and jsDelivr, may process data on servers outside India. We transfer personal data outside India only as permitted under Indian law, and not to any country or territory to which the Government of India has restricted transfers.
9. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become a client: 24 months from our last contact with you, then deleted, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Client records: for as long as we provide services to you, and after that for as long as tax, GST and accounting law requires, or as long as needed to deal with a warranty, dispute or legal claim, whichever is later.
- Traffic source: until your browser session ends.
- Cookie choice: until you clear it from your browser.
- Analytics and advertising data: for the retention period set in each tool, after which the provider deletes or aggregates it.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous so it can no longer identify you.
10. How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, change, disclosure and loss. Access is limited to people who need it for their work. No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and the people affected, as the law requires.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- get a summary of the personal data we hold about you, how we process it, and who we have shared it with;
- have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected, completed or updated;
- have your data erased when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- withdraw consent you have given, at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it;
- have a grievance about our handling of your data addressed; and
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@logikdesk.com with the subject line “Privacy request”. We may ask for information to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is able to receive complaints under the law.
12. Children
Our services are meant for businesses and adults. This website is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a person under 18 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Other websites and apps
This site links to services run by others, such as WhatsApp and Google Maps. When you use them, their own terms and privacy policies apply, not this one.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use personal data we already hold, we will tell affected people directly where we reasonably can.
